Amund Ragnvald Fjortoft (23.3 1899 i Ålesund - 1.11.1956 i Oak Park, Cook, Illinois, USA) var sønn av skipsreder Jonas Peder Elias Fjørtoft og Emilie Inga Aageseth.
Gift med Borghild Thue (3.4.1899 i Davik- 1962), datter av lærer Botolf Helgesen Thue (1856-1948) og hustru Ingeborg Pedersdatter Maurstad (1864-1934). Barn Edmond Fjortoft (1828-1994), Inge Fjortoft (1930-), Ruth Emily Fjortoft (31.10.1937- 30.4.1991).
Eksamen artium 1918 ved Ålesund skole, utdannet 1922 på arkitektlinjen NTH. Emigrerte 3.10.1923 til Amerika.
